Verqor, an Accion Ventures portfolio company, seeks to improve farmers’ livelihoods through access to formal credit. “The important thing is that we do it in a cashless credit so the farmers get inputs as a credit and pay back with crops. So this way we enable the productive supply chain of the farmers with liquidity, and we connect tons of distributors for the input supply, and we connect a lot of off-takers in the supply chain of crops. The whole company offers a completely digital experience for the users,” says Hugo Garduño Ortega, co-founder and CEO of Verqor.
