Your support enables us to reach millions of underserved people globally with responsible financial solutions that help reduce poverty — and create opportunity for individuals, families and communities.

Every day, the global financial system fails nearly two billion people. They are predominantly low-income small business owners, smallholder farmers, and women — the people most impacted by climate change, economic instability, and conflict.

Your philanthropy powers our work to create a fair and inclusive economy where underserved people have quality financial choices and opportunities to improve their economic well-being.

Join us to create a world with economic opportunity for all.

We’ll provide you with an annual donation receipt at the close of the year, cutting down on paper, processing, and ensuring more of your gift goes to helping those in need. Remembering Accion with a bequest from your estate will help sustain and strengthen Accion for years to come. You can make a gift to Accion by including language in your will or living trust, leaving a portion of your estate to Accion, or designating Accion as a beneficiary of your retirement account or life insurance policy.

If you have already named Accion as a beneficiary in your will or trust, please let us know so we can thank you! Contact Erika Eurkus at donate@accion.org or call 202.393.5113 and press option 1.

Accion accepts distributions from traditional IRAs, 401(k)s, and life insurance policies.

If you would like to donate through non-probate assets that are not covered in your will or trust will need to be prepared separately. You can designate Accion as a beneficiary of these types of assets and your gift will help to build a more financially inclusive world.

If you are aged 70.5 or older, you can make a tax-free gift to Accion directly from your traditional IRA! Your gift can also help you reach your required minimum distribution (RMD) for this year.

To get started, contact us for guidance on how to make or update your plans and set up with your broker.

Accion welcomes tax-deductible contributions in the form of securities. This is a particularly powerful way to support our work by contributing appreciated assets without incurring capital gains taxes.

If you would like to make a gift of stock or mutual funds, simply download the electronic securities transfer instructions and provide them to your financial institution. Notify us of the stock gift to ensure timely processing. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Megan Rast at donate@accion.org or call 202.393.5113 and press option 1.
