Carlos Perafán is Vice President and LatAm Regional Manager, Accion Advisory. Carlos oversees the execution of Accion’s advisory strategy in the region and works to strengthen relationships with local partners and industry stakeholders. He is based in Bogotá, Colombia.

Prior to joining Accion, Carlos worked at Accenture, where he led projects that bridged business and technology expertise with the financial and development sectors. Most recently, he served as LATAM Director for Accenture Development Partnerships, where he designed and launched the practice in the region and managed a diverse portfolio focused on digital transformation for financial inclusion and livelihoods. Throughout his career, Carlos has worked with multilateral organizations, the private sector, and NGOs, helping them leverage technology and innovation to advance social impact. In addition to his client work, Carlos led the global culture initiative for Accenture Development Partnerships, helping to shape and promote an inclusive, mission-driven culture across the global team.

Carlos holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Bocconi University in Milan and a master’s degree in microfinance and financial inclusion from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
