MUMBAI, November 18, 2025: Accion Digital Transformation (ADT) announces a successful exit from IKF Finance, a commercial vehicle financing NBFC in India with diversified products. The exit comes as Creador, a prominent private equity firm, acquires a stake from ADT and its limited partner.

The Accion Digital Transformation Fund seeks to enable financial institutions to better meet the needs of small businesses that are currently excluded from the financial system by providing growth capital and strategic support for digital transformation. In March 2023, the Fund announced an investment in IKF Finance, with the goal of supporting the company’s digital transformation.

Founded in 1991, women-owned IKF Finance has grown under the leadership of Ms. K. Vasumathi Devi and Ms. Vasantha Lakshmi, managing a loan book of approximately INR 7,500 crore (~USD845 million) and delivering consistent growth while maintaining industry-leading asset quality.

In the 2024 Microfinance Index, IKF scored in the top 20 percent of companies in Asia on business income and increased employment, with 67 percent of customers reporting increased income, including 32 percent saying their business income ‘very much’ increased. Additionally, 13 percent reported an increase in the number of paid employees, demonstrating the company’s role in helping to drive economic opportunity for small businesses.

Reflecting on the partnership, Abhishek Agrawal, Managing Partner of Accion Digital Transformation, said: “IKF Finance is a strong example of how social and financial objectives can combine to drive financial inclusion at scale. We are excited for Creador’s entry into IKF Finance and are glad that during our investment, we have been able to help the company on governance, ESG, and digital transformation, enabling it to expand and better serve its customers.”

As Robin Agarwal, Executive Director of Creador, explains, “This investment underscores our commitment to identifying and supporting high-quality businesses addressing the underserved segments of India’s financial services sector. IKF has built a formidable institution marked by deep sector expertise and consistent performance.”

IKF’s Managing Director Ms K. Vasumati notes that “Creador’s long-term, growth-oriented approach and experience in empowering financial services companies will be invaluable as we embark on our next phase of expansion. We also thank Accion for their strong partnership and contribution to our impact-led growth.”
