Thessa Mooij is the Director, Public Relations, in Accion’s Communications department. In this role, Thessa works with the investment, advisory, and research teams and partners around the world to shine a spotlight on this work and ensure Accion and our partners serve as demonstration models and a catalyst for a more inclusive world and fintech. She develops and implements Accion’s PR strategy, leading media engagement, and bringing Accion’s insights to industry events.
Since starting a communications career at Philips Electronics’ corporate HQ in her native Holland, Thessa has been passionate about innovative tech and how it can change lives. In 2017, Thessa became an early leader in blockchain communications.
Thessa holds an MA in Italian and an associate degree in Russian from Leiden University and speaks Spanish, French, and German.
