Sarah Sassoon

Portfolio and Investments Associate

As a Portfolio and Investments Associate, Sarah engages with portfolio companies to identify challenges and barriers to growth faced by the businesses; develops and scopes projects to address the areas of need; and works with the companies to execute on the projects through internal and external research, analysis, development of recommendations, and co-creation with the companies. She is also responsible for the assessment of new investment opportunities and the development of investment theses, particularly in the Middle Eastern and Pakistani markets.

Sarah graduated from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) with an MA in International Economics and International Development. While attending SAIS, Sarah worked as a Graduate Intern for the IFC and Tamweelcom, an MFI based in Amman, Jordan. Prior to pursuing her Master’s, Sarah worked as a Partnerships Specialist at a mission-based digital media startup, The Dodo. There, Sarah managed relationships with external partners, spearheaded partner campaigns, and assisted in the launch of the company’s Spanish-language Facebook page. Sarah holds a BA in Middle East Studies and International Relations from Cornell University.
