ACCION Names Donella M. Rapier as Its New Chief Development and Administrative Officer
BOSTON, Jan. 4, 2012 -- Accion, a pioneer and leader in global microfinance, today announced the appointment of Donella M. Rapier as its new Chief Development and Administrative Officer.
Ms. Rapier will direct ACCION's fundraising and administrative functions. She will lead our organizational metrics initiatives with a focus on the coordination of social metrics. She will begin her new role January 23rd and will be based at ACCION's Boston headquarters.
"We are thrilled to have Donella join ACCION. She brings enormous experience from her years at Harvard and Partners In Health," said Michael Schlein, president and CEO of ACCION. "We are extremely pleased to have someone of her caliber joining us."
Ms. Rapier most recently served as chief financial officer at Partners In Health (PIH), a Boston-based organization which provides health care and socioeconomic services and support to at-need communities in 12 countries around the world.
Prior to PIH, she served as Harvard University's vice president for alumni affairs and development, Harvard Business School's chief financial officer, and in various earlier roles at Harvard and Price Waterhouse. She received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from California State University.
