About MicroBike

• MicroBike is an annual volunteer-led biking event. Held each fall, MicroBike is an opportunity for employees, families or friends to get active for microfinance. MicroBikers create rides in their communities to raise awareness and money for Accion, a pioneer and leader in global microfinance. Dozens of teams have riden for microfinance around the U.S. and the world- in Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, San Diego, Chicago, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands and more. MicroBike Origins

• In the summer of 2008, six recent college graduates rode across the U.S. (3,800 miles in nine weeks) to raise funds for Accion and spread awareness about the power of microfinance.
