Make a Gift of Securities

Accion welcomes tax-deductible contributions in the form of securities. This is a particularly powerful way to support our work by contributing appreciated assets without incurring capital gains taxes.

Shares Held in an Account

You will need to instruct your broker or banker about your wish to give securities to Accion. Specify the type of stock, the number of shares that you are donating, and the date by which the gift should be transferred. In order for your broker or banker to transfer the securities electronically, he or she will need the following information:

Accion’s Broker: JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.
DTC Number: 902
Credit Account Number: P72500
Account Name: Accion International
Account Number: Q86236009
Accion’s Tax ID Number: 13-2535763

Because DTC information often does not include the name of the owner of the assets, it is important that you notify Accion of this transaction so that we may properly credit you with your gift. Please contact Erika Eurkus at 617.616.1559 or via email at eeurkus@accion.org or have the individual performing that transfer contact her directly.

Donor Advised Funds

If you have a donor-advised fund, the fund provides you with the opportunity to suggest charitable beneficiaries of the account balance beyond your lifetime. Naming Accion as a legacy charitable beneficiary of your donor-advised fund is simple – just notify your fund administrator of your wishes.
