ACCION "Micro" Loans & Impact on World Poverty

ACCION's goal is to bring the full range of financial services – including "micro" loans – to ever increasing numbers of people to have a significant impact on world poverty. ACCION's partners and affiliates operate in 24 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, and in the U.S. Since 1998, ACCION affiliated programs have made $17.4 billion in micro loans to more than 6.2 million people, with a historical repayment rate of over 97 percent.
