ACCION’s microfinance experts attend national and international conferences regularly to engage with industry professionals, and speak on a range of microfinance-related issues – including product innovations, technology and microfinance, policy, financial literacy, accessing capital markets, economic development, women in business and more.

ACCION’s Center for Financial Inclusion also hosts a range of workshops, webinars, events and conferences. These convenings are particularly aimed at disseminating findings on microfinance research and building coalitions of private sector partners to tackle problems facing financial inclusion. Conference & Investment Marketplace Highlights:

ACCION International, creator of the Microfinance Cracking the Capital Markets Conference series, is partnering with EDA Rural Systems to organize MCCM South Asia and accompanying Investment Marketplace.

MCCM will bring together a wide range of finance professionals – institutional and private investors, leading MFIs, specialized microfinance investment funds, international and local banks, central bankers and rating agencies.

These professionals will discuss the successes, challenges and trends of microfinance investment in South Asia, with particular focus on India. Attendees will meet the new players, explore recent deals and assess the marketplace in an engaging two-day program with six panels and opportunities for networking.

MCCM also includes an Investment Marketplace on Day Two that will bring together MFIs with debt and equity investors to facilitate introductions and deal-making in a booth setting.

• Institutional, private and social investors either now involved in microfinance investment or interested in becoming involved
